Profound.

Most of the time people find words boring unless they stick out more. Chances are that before reading this bit you've already read my little word box below, because it attracted your attention. Also, most of the time words tend to repeat themselves which is boring. Also, most of the time words tend to repeat themselves which is boring. Sometimes people say the same things, in a slightly different way, which is really redundant. When people explain a concept more than once, you feel less inclined to read it. Because most people tend to do this, people have come to learn that reading the big text explanation is basically pointless, so they just read the little text box and call it good, because that's much more entertaining than reading a whole big long blog post. The funny thing, though, is that most of the time it works. If you see five paragraphs of boring looking words, and then a picture of cats, you can infer that the five paragraphs were about cats, and therefore completely pointless to read. If you're reading this right now, you honestly have gotten probably nothing more out of this post than you would have if you had just read the word box picture below. 

The problem is that sometimes the words are important. People have just been flinging them around for so long that they've been reduced to a pile of rubbish most of them time, validating the expression "a picture is worth a thousands words" which I believe should be amended to "a picture is worth a thousand useless, repetitive words" because there are some pictures that aren't actually as effective at explaining things as a good important explanation. However, I won't be offended if you didn't actually read this, and only read the picture, because it really is just as useful as this big long explanation.
