Once upon a time (a few days ago) Riley and I were walking to Kat's apartment. As we walked past building 27 of new heritage, we heard a knocking coming from a window. We looked up to see a girl waving at us from about the third floor. She then proceeded to give us her phone number one digit at a time on a dry-erase board, and motion for us to call her. We almost kind of half expected it to be something important, but instead she was like "Hi! What are your names?!"
I still haven't actually met this girl, but maybe it'll happen some time.

Another Random BYU Story
Wyview Story Time #2
Today, still a bit jumpy from the fried chicken experience, we Muffin Men were chilling around the apartment getting ready for bed. Suddenly, there came a knock at the door, and the three of us rushed to the door and opened it, running into the night to catch the girls who had fled the scene. We found them hiding behind a pillar only to discover that these girls were not the girls who had left the fried chicken, just some other mischievous door knockers. We turned to go back into our apartment, but we found that it was locked. We were all in our pajamas, none of us had keys, none of us had phones, and none of us had shoes.
No problem, we could just go get keys from our RA Kevin downstairs. But he wasn't there. We couldn't call him either because we left our phones in the apartment. Really the only thing we could do was wait for him to come back. Luckily, the mischievous girls invited us over to their apartment where we then chilled and waited until Kevin came back and let us in to our apartment.
We're going to watch a movie with them tomorrow. :)
I just love BYU.

When it rains, you put on a coat.
I'm am getting rather excited for BYU. Well that is an understatement, for I may appear calm on the outsite, but on the inside I am just jumping up and down like a five year old waiting for christmas. Lately I have taken to just going over to campus and wandering around the Wilk. Sometimes I read books in the BYU Bookstore, sometimes I buy candy from their magnificent candy supply, and a couple days ago I even watched Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs on the giant TV in the electronics section of the Bookstore. So yeah. I adventure sometimes. :)

Yikes.
I just signed up for college classes. It's pretty sweet. I got some really random classes, and I don't anticipate having many of my current friends in them, which is sad, but I shall do my very best to keep in contact with them anyway. Also it's good, because now I have more opportunities to meet more new people! Yay! Anyone who wants to, please feel free to come study with me any time that you feel like it. That way I won't get lonely. :)

Three Things
I am very thirsty for chocolate. (That doesn't mean I want to drink it, because drinking straight liquid chocolate sounds like terrible damage, it just means that I would love anyone who felt it in their hearts to bake me a chocolate cake or something.) Speaking of Chocolate, the chocolate that Kristen gave me was very amazing. Thank you, you wonderful person. I've come up with a bartering system for favors: you give me chocolate, I'll do anything you'd like me to (granted that the chocolate was of high enough quality and you gave me enough.) Except if you don't give me chocolate and ask me to do you a favor, I'd probably do it anyway because I love you. But the chocolate would still be appreciated.
Sometimes when you take a walk with no destination in mind, you end up halfway up a mountain with the sun almost gone down. It's beautiful, and glorious. Chillin' with the deers and watching a beautiful sunset with the wonderful smells of spring blossoms drifting through the air, while standing on top of the very world and seeing just how small your life down below really is, and realizing just how many lives are happening down there, and how much you didn't even know existed before--does anything really get any better than that? I love adventuring. Probably more than I love chocolate. Chocolate is gross after you eat a pound or two, but adventuring just keeps getting more sweet. Only thing that would be better is if people would come with me!
Despite my many flaws, for some reason Kat still agrees to go on dates with me, so last night we had a wonderful time going to see my little brother Robert be Pinocchio at the Scera. Obviously because Robert was the star of the show, I was able to secure 4 cost-free tickets for myself, Riley, Kat, and Kenzie, which led to a wonderful and inexpensive date. Robert is quite the talented little kid, and I very much enjoyed the show. It was very well done, with quite the extravagant array of props and things. It was actually really sad in parts, and exciting in others, and scary in some (pleasure island) and epic in the curtain call. (Why are not all curtain calls dance parties with dubstep disney music and flashy neon lights? I don't know. Let's not try to know.) Anyway, after that we ate ice cream at Macey's and then went over to BYU campus to talk, and hang out, and look at starts, and abberantly run past the statue of Brigham Young to make him look like he's dancing. (Don't ask.) It was a pretty wonderful date. Thanks Kat!

Some More Musics
Here's to Concert Percussion:
Anyway, the point is that I played at BYU today with the Symponic Band. It was actually pretty awesome, although my music is just a little bit on the boring side. But hey, that's life, right? Anyway, I love the symphonic band; we sound amazing. That's basically all.

76 Trombones and 1 Bass Drum Player
Today started out fairly normal. Alright, at the rate this is going, this is going to be a bad post.
Let me start again.
Arghh, and avast, ye mateys! I done spotted land close to yonder shore thus beetafil' spring mornin', as me ship sailed to the cereal filled land of Journalism. After that adventure, I started walking to seminary, when I was interrupted by me favorite band student teacher Mr. Tippets. So, he says to me, he says "Sonny, I have a job for ye to do. And I says back to him, "Any task can I complete." So basically, he tells me that I need to play in a concert at BYU tonight and sight read the music for it. WHAT?!?!?!? So, obviously, that kinda scared me, but I continued on me way anyway. And then I did EHS during 8th period in the journalism lab, and was happily joined by Riley and Kat.
Later that day...
I went to Timpanogas to spielen some music for region solo and ensemble, and we were way ahead of schedule, so the judge had me play right when I got there even though I was fifteen minutes earlier than my original time, so I didn't have time to warm up or anything. And, SURPRISE! My music was terrible. As I played it my ears cried and my spirit fled from my body. At School solo/ensemble I did pretty good, so I assumed that I'd do good at region too. Now I'm not even sure that I played the same song. It was hideous. After my tragic solo moment I somehow regained my composure and managed to perform decently in my ensembles, but that was definitely the end of my marimba solo life. The results are obvious, I got a 1- on my solo so I didn't make it to state, and the two ensembles both got 1's so I can still go to state.
Even later that day...
I rushed home from me solo-sailin', an' I wen' upon the high seas where I found me a de jong concert hall. This went much better than solo/ensemble. I thoroughly enjoyed sight reading the Bass drum part to 76 Trombones for 76 Trombones, arranged by Dan Barrett, who's an awesome Jazz Trombonist, in the concert, and I actually did fairly decently. (It was really easy music, but that's not the point. The point is that I got to play music in the de jong with BYU with Steve Call, and Dan Barrett conducting, and super awesome music majors all around me and it was SO COOL!!!! Basically it was the bestest most amazing thing ever. I felt special.) There's a video of it that will supposedly end up on youtube and that I will hunt for until I find so that I can post it on here.
Words cannot describe. Well, they can, but I'm too lazy to put that much effort into doing that right now, mostly because it's very lates at night.
