Oh yes, the time is upon us where the ensembles loom and the solos approach, reaching out to slowly drain our life force and force us to forget about everything we ever knew. It really is a wonderful time of year.
Aside from that, this was definitely the most romantic Valentines day of my entire life. I would give details, except that there aren't any.
Anyway, there are things that are insanely cool, and there are things that are insanely boring, and there are things that are insanely brilliant, and there are things that are just plain insane, but no matter how you look at it, there's always something beyond even that. (No pun intended.)
You know that impulse you get to bang your head against the keyboard and then post it on your blog? Well, it annoys people, so I'm going to resist the temptation, even though it may be immensely satisfying. Although, I'm sure that some of you are thinking that this post is a result of that very activity. Well, it's not. And if you don't like my ramblings, leave a comment critiquing my soul. I believe that I am now going to go create a blog in which I can bang my head on my keyboard freely and receive no judgement for doing so.

This is a test to see if my brain and my keyboard are both still functional, and it looks that at least one of them still works.

Anyway, 12-2-14 = 0, so Valentines is cancelled anyway.

The above blank space is dedicated to a person. It's very symbolic, but I won't tell you how.

The blank space is my brain isn't dedicated to anyone, so feel free to claim a portion. Maybe I should sell it. $25 a share.

This is a Masterpiece

Alright, I'd say that this is even better than a creamery on ninth Cookies and Cream Shake.
Brace yourself. It's a Sonic Banana Caramel Shake. And it's absolutely delicious. I'm in a good mood now.

Okay, No More Urgh.

The play is over. Completely. Except for the hour or two it will take to rectify all of the tech mess that I dumped onto the PSS cart because I did not want to deal with it. I will now be able to sleep, and I won't have the two-and-a-half hours during the play in which I must keep coming up with depressing things to contemplate. I may also be the only person in history to have utterly convinced myself that the bendy light on the light board was a soup faucet. Maybe Brower will stop telling me that I should've tried out for the play, now that it's over.
One day, I will get money for what I've done, and then I can buy a celebratory milkshake.

I am definitely happy right now.

But before I put "A Winter's Tale" to rest in my mind forever, I would like to make note of a couple things.

Lauren + Miriam + Kat = Very beautiful in their dresses.

Riley + Jake = Not okay looking in their dresses.

Debussy is my friend now.

Parker Christensen is very good at explaining how Riley gets eaten by a bear.

Playing Pirates of the Carribean music before the show on closing night is exciting.

This is one play that I did not memorize while teching it.

I made many of my own happy additions to the script. I think it's much more interesting my way.

For all of you who think I played computer games during the whole play every day just because I had my laptop back there, you're wrong. I only did that a tiny bit. I wrote my Journalism article. And I played Chess like once.

It's not actually that scary to sit on a swivel chair on an eight foot hollow box after you get used to it.

It's really fun to talk about the future as if it's already happened. Such as, "By the time I go to bed, I will have finished this blog post." Admit it, that's much more exciting than "I will finish this blog post before I go to bed."

Kat's parents are fantastic. They bought me a Jamba Juice before the show twice. You really cannot get nicer than that.

It's been a pleasure doing business with you, Shakespeare dudes! You'all the best!

Remember That Thing?

I posted a random poem that I wrote on here a while ago called Up-Town, and I also submitted it to some random society of young writers kinda thing, and apparently it won a "Gold Key Award," so now it's going to be judged Nationally or something like that. Anyway, I just was really not expecting that, so it kinda made me feel cool. If you want to read it, you can follow the link that I put right down there.

John Oldroyd just loves happy days. For him, today was a happy day. It started out with a churchball game, in which his team obviously dominated, due to their incredible skill level, and was quickly followed up by a fantastic breakfast at the Summers twins' abode. After that, the entire team went and played more basketball, since the first game was too easy.
Following those shenanigans (that's a fun word) John headed off to Timpview where he sat watching strange children from a little high school up north put on a production in his auditorium. After that, he had to fix the stage to back how it was supposed to be, and even got to drop the keys off the catwalk in the process. (Yes, he did do it on purpose, and yes, he got permission.)
After work, Johann hat zu Shelby's haus gefahrt und hangt mit Karli und Shelby aus. It was very nice. They made milkshakes.

Progress

Today at the Timpview basketball game, for which I was playing in the pep band, I managed to break my 6th bass mallet. Breaking even one is impressive, so I think I may have some kind of a school record. I like bass drum.

Another Slew of Phone Pictures

This is my feet.

This is what happens when you get bored whilst doing tech.

This picture is kind of hard to see, but it's a police car parked halfway on the grass and halfway on the sidewalk by a fire hydrant in front of a red curb.

Our Millie Monitor.

Now that's a gingerbread house.

This is Kat, Kate, Riley, and myself on a shark.

I went to Disneyland with my family, and took pictures of the pictures.

We met Jae Cho in our Grandparents' ward on Christmas.

This is what happens when I play tic tac toe with Ree Lu on Stefan's desk.

This is a game of chess with Henry Davis that we never finished. I took a picture so that we could finish it later. Sadly, we probably never will.

This is my 100th Post

I just thought I should mention the fact that this was my 100th blog post.

I also neglected to mention in my previous post that I got to hang out with Kat, as she pointed out in her comment. And yes, that was easily the best part of my day.

Mark This Day

Today, after reweighing countless batens and excavating the grid and refocusing the beam and repatching the light board, I finally hit the moment where I begin to get paid for my technical efforts. I could basically buy two milkshakes for every hour that I work from now on. That's a happy thing. No, it's more than happy, it's euphoric. There really is nothing quite like a milkshake. A milkshake must be magic, because mathematically it doesn't make sense! Here, I'll prove it.

Milk = great
Ice Cream = fantastic
Fruit = incredible!

Milkshake = Pure bliss X 10^489 X Exceptional X True Love X Perfection.

A Little Help Here?

I'm debating whether or not the random adventures that happen inside my head are real or not, but I just can't figure it out. Can someone help me out with this?

Bananas Are Good

You Know What's Really Good?

I just made a milkshake that contained the following:

Milk
Ice Cream
A Banana
Strawberry Syrup
Blueberries
Blackberry Jam
Watermelon Snow-Cone Flavoring
Apple Juice
A Clementine
A Marshmallow
Whipped Cream

And you know what? It was absolutely fantastic.

This Semester's Gonna be Good

Today I went to school, and then chilled in the band room all day. It was absolutely amazing, and I am very excited to repeat this every day of my life. I accomplished such tasks as polishing my solo, learning a four mallet vibraphone level, helping Wendy Nelson (who's amazing, by the way) fix the snare drum stand and the suspended symbol stand, getting another solo to play for solo and ensemble, discovering that the Burton grip is just as useful as the Stephen's grip, and growing in happiness by 5067 percent.

I Just Had a Conversation With Myself. It Went Like This:

Why is there a defibrillator in the icebox?
How in the world should I know that?
Well do you know who put it there?
Could it have been Steven?
Who’s Steven?
How do you not know Steven?
Have I met him?
Does that even matter?
Is he that well known?
Why do you ask?
Why do you care?
What does that mean?
Are you stupid?
Why are you so rude?
What did I do?!
What does it matter?
What are you trying to say?
What’s the point?
The point of what?
How did the subject change so much?
What subject?
Didn’t you ask me about the defibrillator?
The one in the icebox?
Are you sure it was in there?
What was in where?
Are you doing that on purpose?
Doing what?
Are you acting so stupid just to bug me?
Why would I do a terrible thing like that?
Isn’t in enjoyable?
Why don’t you know?
Do you see me doing stupid things like that?
Like what?
Why don’t you just leave?
Shouldn’t I stay?
Is that what I said?
Don’t you remember?
Are you trying to trick me?
Into doing what?
Answering your questions!

A Metaphor

My mind is a bird.

Those Small Joys in Life

I've been concentrating so hard on positive blog posts that I have forgotten that a little bit of negativity helps keep it all balanced, so feel free to skip this post entirely if you wish. It's not a happy post.

I have been asked several times questions along the lines of "what are your pet peeves?" or "what bugs you?" And my slightly dysfunctional mind always has trouble coming up with answers, so I thought long and hard about it, and I've come up with this lovely little list:

1. When people get blamed for something that they did not do
2. When I have to re-log in to blogger because my computer logged me out for no reason
3. When all the milk is gone
4. When I do something hypocritical

Well, that was quite enough pessimism for one day. On to happier subjects.

Tidbits

I want to design an ACT question for the English section that goes something like this:

I cannot buy the duck because I have no change.

A. NO CHANGE
B. No Change.
C. no, change.
D. no change

Here's a riddle for you:

Imagine that all of the twos are threes:

2^2 = ?

Now, you may have said, "easy, that's 3^3, which equals 27!"
And you may have figured out that if ALL the twos are threes, then so is the one in your answer, meaning it equals 37!

But, either way you're wrong. No matter how hard you imagine, 2^2 will always equal 4.

Here's a real riddle for you. This one has no trickery or stupid answers, it's just hard to figure out.

If the three below statements are all true, what does 33+121 equal?

11+31 = 32
34+42 = 132
13 X 31 = 133

Yes, I designed this riddle myself. It's pretty brilliant.

This is completely unrelated to my riddle, but my riddle reminded me of this.
Find the next number in the sequence:
313, 331, 367... ?

Answer: 379
It's a sequence of happy primes.
Any number that reduces to one when you take the sum of the square of its digits and continue iterating until it yields one is a happy number; any number that doesn't, isn't. A happy prime is a number that is both happy and prime.

To the Point

With the help of Riley Budd I was able to create the perfect rocket car for physics. It went 22 meters in 0.5 seconds, which is twice as fast as the second fastest car in my class, and faster than any car in the AP physics class except for Riley's, which is the same speed.

The moral of this story is that when you spend five days at Riley's house, you do well at stuff without even trying!! And you also end up making up words like "inthry."

Zauber, Magie, Kouzlo, Salamangka, Magique, Maxia, Draíocht, Magia, Uchawi, Hud, and so forth.

I have recently discovered that I own certain items that possess magical properties. Here is a complete list:

My shoes
My new hat
My water bottle
My fossil
My metronome
My ukulele
My camera case
My old phone
The empty box under my bed
The woggle in my file cabinet
My toothbrush
My bookshelf
My blue suit jacket
Malador, the Volcanic Baron's Quencher
That one CD with music on it
Both of my purple pens
My fire alarm
One of my 3x5 cards, although I forget which one
The gigantic stack of music on my dresser

Yup, that's all folks. I'll give you a cookie if you can guess what they all do.
